But first about this gorgeous couple, Marisela and Jameson…
We traveled eight miles on a dirt road and a took a quick hike to the top of a vista to get to where Marisela and Jameson started their life together. And, by the looks of the views, it was 100% worth the effort. For their elopement this couple was joined by their moms and precious children as they took the leap of getting married. So much love between these two, what a beautiful day!
I’ve lived in Northern Arizona for the past 21 years, I had no idea this gorgeous location even existed. It was one of the most perfect places for an elopement I could ever imagine. I love it when couples find a perfect location and make the effort to make it part of their history. During high winds, this couple exchanged vows as the clouds danced above them and the valley below them watched. It was perfect.
Elopements are extremely special to me. There’s nothing to distract from big love, except for the big beauty of our world. I often think about where I’d like to renew our vows, and it always comes back to a mountaintop. Something really speaks to me about being on top of the world. Feeling small with a love that’s big is a great combination.
And my pants? Well, I’m blaming my new rose scented lotion. A hungry bee 🐝 found it’s way up my pants and stung me on the hip. Not being sure what had bit me, I needed to remove my pants (behind a tree of course) to make sure I was ok. (I was ok, but a bit embarrassed haha)
