Melissa and I met Mara and Cole last year as they started planning their destination wedding in Sedona. They are one of those couples you meet and instantly think, wow, they have something special. As we talked with Mara and Cole they told us their amazing story and journey up to this point. Mara and Cole met eight years ago in high school and shared their first kiss at age 14. They both knew from the start that they were meant to be together forever. They have brought amazing support to each other and their families through the ups and downs of life, they have traveled the world, and both graduated from the University of Arizona. They have accomplished so much, all while being at each others side.
Mara and Cole’s wedding was not only beautiful, it was very romantic and personal. You could feel the high level of respect family and friends have for this young couples love. It was very special to be involved and witness.
Mara was a stunning bride! Her dress was perfect for her and the outdoor Sedona wedding. We loved the bridesmaids in green chiffon dresses with their gorgeous colorful bouquets. Amy from Bliss Floral did an amazing job with Mara’s vintage rustic garden theme.
Mara and Cole had a very emotional first look, such a special moment for the couple!
Melissa and I fall in love with Sky Ranch Lodge every time we get to photograph there. The panoramic views of the Sedona red rocks are spectacular. Mara and Cole added to the natural beauty with their beautifully decorated Chuppa, designed by Encore Production Company.
After Mara and Cole’s ceremony at Sky Ranch Lodge we jetted off to Schnebly Hill for their couple photo’s before heading to the reception at Los Abrigados. Mara and Cole were so easy to work with, we really just stood back and snapped away. What a gorgeous couple!
The reception was held a Los Abrigados Resort and Spa in the heart of Sedona. The ballroom was magical, complete with amazing centerpieces designed by Bliss Floral.
Mara and Cole danced their first dance as husband and wife to Hero by Enrique Iglesias. They danced to this song at their high school homecoming dance before they started dating. Unfortunately, their dance got cut short by their limo showing up and having to leave the dance. The night of their wedding they finally got to finish their dance.
What a special day! Mara and Cole we wish you lots of love and laughter. It was a pleasure to get to know you and be involved in your amazing love story, thank you! ~Kristen and Melissa
