In the time between the harsh early summer winds, and the aspen changing colors, lies the sweet spot of Northern Arizona’s weather that we call monsoon season. Each year I hold my breath as the sunflowers seem to climb out of the earth and burst into a brilliant display. It has to be one of the most miraculous displays of flowers anywhere in the world. The day that I met this sweet family we were also blessed with big, billowy, monsoon clouds that provided creamy ambient filtered light. It was perfection. Brittany and Matt moved to Northern Arizona about a year ago, and this was the first time they had seen the sunflower fields. It was cool to see their reaction when I drove them up to this beautiful location.
Baby William was perfect and seemed to enjoy his first experience as a super model, both inside in a studio setting and outside in the great wide open. He never cried and fell fast asleep once he got comfortable. Congratulations Brittany and Matt! Your beautiful baby boy is a sweetheart! ~ Melissa
