Sunflower Shoot in Flagstaff, Arizona
I do love love a beautiful sunflower shoot with a gorgeous family. Sunflower shoots are popular for the obvious reason, it’s simply a gorgeous time in the meadows with their bright yellow petals reaching up towards the sky. They add a bit of sunshine to the photos, even on overcast days. Once a year in Flagstaff, (usually in late August), you can see meadows of these beautiful flowers at many popular parks close to downtown and alongside the road up to the San Francisco peaks. My favorite location for sunflower shoots vary from year to year, mostly because Mother Nature keeps us on our toes here in the High Country. They are never in the same place. But, hey, I love a challenge. :)
Sunflowers, with their sunny charm and delightful disposition, have been named the ‘happiest flower’ for many reasons. But for me, it’s because they bring so many smiles to my clients’ faces as I walk them out to a blanket of yellow. The spectacle Mother Nature gives us is truly magnificent, check it out this year if you can.
It was fantastic spending time with the Mark Family. The boys are growing up oh-too-fast, and I’m sure you heard my laughs from their antics if you were anywhere near Flagstaff. One of favorite things is corny jokes, and these boys had a lot of them!
