I remember the first time I bought a house. It was 2001, and I didn’t think I could afford it. And then, a seasoned real estate professional sat me down and outlined how 1-not only could I afford it, but how 2- I couldn’t NOT afford it. The tax advantages are tremendous in owning a home, and it also gives emotional security in uncertain times. If you’re on the fence about purchasing a home, I encourage you to do it. Sometimes, you just have to take a leap of faith.
